• NZ education system - teaching and learning in New Zealand
• Types of schools and how schools are managed
• What schools teach: the curriculum; levels of schooling from early childhood education to secondary schooling
• Assessment and reporting
• Parents rights and responsibilities in education
• Challenges for migrants and refugee students
• Children with special needs

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
